The Single-tax Movement

Chicago, April 7.- A National single-tax coníerence will be held in this city July í to discuse the abolition of taxeB on all kinds of personal property, including houses, machines, growing crops, etc., and the raising of all public revenueB from a single and direct tax on relative land values. The advocates of this idea claim for it tnat ineqnallties of taxation will be thus avoided. It is not the de6ign of the conference to nomínate a Presidential ticket, but it will forui a National organization.
