Given His Freedom

MiLWAüKEE, Wis., May 22.- Paul Grottkau, the Anarchist, who was sentenced to one year in the house of correction a little more than % year ago on account of inciting a riot,was on Monday released by Judge Johnson on a writ of certiorari. For the greater part of the time since sentence was passed Grottkau has been out on bail pending various appeals and other legal proceedings, and Judge Johnson holds that all this time counts the same as though he had remained in prison. By this ruling Grottkau's full term has expired and he is a íree man.
