New York, June 9.- The Raílway Age ia its fortheoming issue will say that from January 1 to June 1, 1888, 2,271 miles oí railway track have been laid. This is a very largo amount to be reported se early in the year and indícales that the total for 1888 is well nigh certain to exceed 8,000 miles, with a likelihood that it will reach 10,000 miles and a poSsibility that it may not iall short of 3,000 miles. Almost 13,000 miles oí track were laid in 1887, the year of greatest construction ever known.
