Failed To Rob The Train
Asbtabula, O., July 25.- Eleven men boarded a west-bouud train at this place Sunday night, and as soon as the train ha3 left the city attempted to gain possession of it. At each door of the smoker the men took stand and defied the passengers. Conductor Shepapd and several drummers put on a bold front and drove them out of the car. The robbera then tried to prevent the train being stopped at Geneva by overpowering tha engineer, but did not succeed. The train was stopped at Geneva, a cali was made upon citizeri, and nine of the gans wera captured. They are now in Geneva jaii guarded by twenty-five militiamen. They appear to be desperadoes instead oi tramps.
