City of Mexico, Aug. 8. - Two merchants traveiiug on iiorse-back from Taluca to the City of Mexico were assaulted, sixtfen miles from here, at Bauraca Del Muerto, the soene of numer out deeds of riolcnco. The merchants had over $3,000 in their saddie-bag;!. They were mot by a party o' bandits, thirly ia all, tv.eive mountcd. The merchants opened fire on the robber, killing threc and wounding two. They then put spurs to their horses and attempted to escape, but were overtaken by mounted robbers, dragged frotn their horses, and robbed oí ail their money and valuables, stripped of their clothinp and tied to trees. After two days and nights they were discovered. Bight robbers have been captured, and one ha oonfessed that they belonged to a gang of flfty.
