Retaliation Discussed

Ottawa, Ont, Sept. 4.- At a meeting of the Dominion Cabinet Council held yesterday the question of retaliation was discussed, and it is understood Canada will take no actiou toward a counter retaliation if President Cleveland's Ketaliatory bill does come into forcé. The general impression here, however, is that the President's message is simply a political dodge, and after November Uanadians will hear littie about retaliation. New York, Sept. 4. - An Ottawa special to the World says Lord Salisbury has cautioned Premier McDonald to act with great caution, and not to do any thing to increaso the hostility of America.
