The Mills bilí was discussed in Forensics yesterday. The S. C. A. building w:ll be dedieeted during the next commenceraent week. The Glee club is advertising for singers, and all applicants will have to pass an examination. Del Valle is the name of the student trom Porta Rica who has entered the Dental department. The class of 91 elected Fred Richmond ioot-ball captain and challenged the freshmen for Saturday. The eighth meeting of the Michigan Schoolmasters' club will be held in the main building, Oet. 27. There will be a meeting in the opera house, Saturday evening, under the aus pices of the Students' Repablican club, which will be addressed by Co!. Atkinson and Henry A. Haigh of Detroit. Both the Republican and Democratie clubs have met and discused plans for a vigorous campaign. The Demócrata may secure the famous author of the tariff blll about which there is sueh a row to speak to them. The Chronicle says of the Dental department: "The announcement last year that thÏ9 would be the end of the ' two year' course has had the effect of bringing together a fine-looking body of freshmen, representing all quarters of the globe, from California to Bngland, Germany and Central America." Prof. J. B. Steere and party ri&ited at least 15 of the Philippines. In their previous visit they were seriously crippled by Dr. Steere's poor healtb, by insufficient fire-arms, and other obstacles. This last visit, however, has proved very satisfactory. They obtained 5000 specimens of birds, many of them entirely new, and the nests and eggs of a large number were secured. A fine lot of land sheils, sea shells, and coráis, some rare alcoholic specimens, and a fine collection of the mammals of the islands were obtained. Frank I. Kirby, in Battle Creek; Miss Paine, in Charlotte; Miss Potter and J. H. Powell, in Rockford, Hls ; Miss J. R. Tolman, in Chicago; Misa Bertha Wrighl, Ross Cole, and Fred Clark, in Ann Arboi; Miss Klzabeth Clark, in Minnesota State Normal school; Miss Gelston, in Battle Creek. L. Bassett, J. B. Burtt, M. M. Mann, G. E. Milliman, H. Remington, S. E. Stillwell, A. E. Gebhardt and W. A. Grace, are studying law. F. C. Ford, C. Hildner and C. G. Campbell are studying medicine. E. S. Shaw and R. S.
