A Fearful Crash

Readixq, Pa., Oct. 8.- The eorner-stona of the Polish Catliolio church ia this city was laid yesterday aíternoon. and during theceremony the floor, on whichtwo thousand men, women and children were stand ing, gave way, precipitating several hundred people to the basement, a distanoe ol fifteen f eet. Ninety persons were severely -injnred, ten probably fatally, and several were missing. All the physicians in the city were promptly in attendance and every thinL possible was done for the relief f the sufferers. Very touching scènes were witnessed among the thousands who had rushed to the church in search ol friends and relatives.
