To the Editor of The Register : S:r: - Please favor me with space in your paper (or an explanution. I am 81 "ears oíd, and have been many years a staunch Prohibí tionist. Four years ago, under the circumstancee. as I then viewed them, I did lavor the organizing of the Prohibition party. I thought they would be aa honest party. 3ut when I see them place untried men o oppoee suob well-known men as Harrison 8nd Morton, Allen and Luce, then I think it is proper for me to vote for good men who can be elected, and are known to be pure, conscientious, competent men. There is not a sane man in the Prohibiion party that expects to elect even one of their candidates. If they are honest t seems to me every Christian mother's son of them will vote for the Harrigon and Vlorton elector, and all temperance men n the second Michigan district will vote 'ot Allen for congress and Luce for jjovernor, as the quickest way to reaching constitutionul prohibition. My New York Independent quotes the venerable R bert Stoirs, president of the American missioiiary board, as saying precisely sueh a man as Gen. Harrison ehould 3e at the head of this nation, full as it is of Christian homes, schools and churches, lot only to insure a good administration, jut for the moral culture of the country. Respectfully,
