New Haven, Conn., Dec. 19.- Very high water prevails in the Naugatuclc valley owing to the heavy rains for the last forty-oight hours. The rainiall at Waterbury was 2:35 inches. At Seymour the ürst floor of Dunham's Hotel was under water and all the milis had to stop. In Ansonia the water was üve leet abovehigh-watermark and Osborne & Cheeseman's factory cellar was flooded. A gang of men is at work to prevent the walls Irom undermining. Great damage is apprehended. Albany, N. Y., Dec. 19.- The Mohawk vallev is flooded, factories are stopped and travel is impeded. The ice, on which ice dealers had staked thelr winter claims, has broken up and gone out
