Death Of Ben Hopkins

ClNCIKNATI, Jan. 8.- Benjamin E. Hopkins. late assistaut cas hier of the defunct Fidelity National Bank, died at 6:30 a. m. at his residence, 268 Riohmond street. He was pardoned by the President December 20, but the paper did not reach the Columbas penitentiary until Friday morning, January 4. Mr. Hopkins reached home that evening and, after a joyful meeting with his family, seemed to be exliaustcd by the excitement and visitors -.vere excluded. He never fully rallied, and died surrounded by members ot his family.
