New York, Jan. 27.- The business failures occurring throughout the country tluring the last seven days, as reported to R. G. Dun & Co., the mercantilo agency, by telegraph, number for the United States blO, nd ior Canada 32, or a total of 3-12; as against a total of 3S7 last week, and 381 the week previous to the last. For the corresponding week of last year the figures were 289 for the United States and 48 for the Dominion of Canada.
