The Michigan erop report of Feb. Ist shows returns received frona 817 correspondent?, representing (23 toivnships. Five Imndrpd and eighty of there reports are from 403 lownships in the southern futir tiers of counties, and 128 reporls from 115 townships in the central counties. In the Southern counties, whicli includes Washtenaw county, 243 eorrespondents claim that wheat has been injured during the month of January, while 323 correspondent. claim that it bas not been injured The proportion is about the eame in other counties. Iti the southern counties the ground was barely covered with' anow until after the 2üth, the average depth for the month bfing two and three-tenths inches. Wheathas undoubtedly suffered Eome but the damage cannot be estimated.aild with good, average weather from now on, a fair erop may be expected. Reporta from 454 elevators and milis show the quantity of wheat maiketed to have been 467,507 bushels, of which 75,891 bushelx were marketed in the first tier; 126 243 bushels in the second tier; 96,359 bushels in the third tier; 120,485 bushels in the lourth tier; 41,186 bushrls in the fifth and sixth tiers; and 7,343 bushels in the northern counties. At 90 of the elevators and milis reporting, no wheat was marketed duriiig the monlh. The total number of bushels of wheat reponed marketed during the past six months, was 10,970,009, or about 47 per cent. of the erop of 1888. The total arnount of the erop for 1888 being 23,581,004 bushels, and allowing 7,650,000 bushels for Peed and for farmer's use, leaves still 4,960,895 bushels of th year's erop unwecounted for or still in the hands of the farmers. The nuraber of bushels of wheat marketed at 17 out of the 25 elevators and milis in Washtenaw county, was 50,067 bonhei?; marketed in December but not reported, 34,613 bushels; total amount markeled lor five months, August-Decemher, 383J99 bushels; total amount marketed for Bix months, AugustJanuary, 967.879 bushels. VVashtenaw county stands seventh in the lotal number of bushels marketed during the last six months, and first in the number of Imshels marketed durinil January. The condition of stock is reported as above the average. M. Wm.
