An American Subject Held

Bridgeport, Conn., Feb. 20. - Herman Kempinski, a liiiHsian, who came here in 1873 and was naturalized a citizen of the United States, returned on a visit to hls native land and Boon after his arrival there was arrested and thrown into prison on the charge oí evading the military service required of Itussian citizens. His case will be laid before the authorities in Washington in a few days.
