The fourth annual exhibition of the Arm Arbor Art Club opened at the Ladies' Library Asaociation building'on Tuesday. The opening was underthe most favorable aufpice?, although the weather was bad. The exhibit numbers about 200 pieees, many of them being very creditable. The exhibitors are all members of the club who have done the work within the past year. The most noticable studies acd collections are as follows : In oil colors ; a basket of peaches and sketch of an orchard by Mrs. Starkey ; a vegetable sketch, tulips and still life by Miss Hoffstetter ; a bunch of corn, primroses and dogwood blossoms by Mrs. Randall; old hat filled with apples by Miss Roys ; roses and crab-apple blossoms by Mrs. Sehoff. In water colors; nine sketches of flowers by Mrs. Walker ; four sketches by Miss Gott; nine studies from nature and still life by Mies Douglas, one of which, "The Russian Tea," receives the praise of the exhibit ; a kitchen scène and a bunch of carnation8 by Mrs. Perry attract considerable attention ; a collection of six studies by Miss Hunt, the director of the club, show fine execation. There are 37 exhibits in charcoal made by Misses Whedon, Doty, Whitman, Chapin, Roys, Demmon, Hill and Fisher. Mrs. Randall, Mrs. Perry, and Misses Gott and Hunt exhibit handsome specimens of china decoration. The attendance Tuesday and Wednsday was light, owiDg to the weather, but today a large crowd of fnends are expected to visit the exhibition, by the ladies in charge. The exhibit doses tomorrow evening.
