NOKTH DAKOTA. Bismakck, H. D., July 5.- The constitutional convention of North Dakota met at noon Thursday. T. B. Fanchar, ol James:own, was made president. The convention then 'adiourncd without transacting any business to take part in the festivitics of the day. Bismauck. N. D., July 8.- The business of the Constitutional convention Saturday was the report of the committee on rules, which was ordered printed. The conyention then adjourned until Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. SÓUTH DAKOTA. Sioux Falls, S. D., July 5.- After an immense street parade, in which were repreBentations of the industries of Sioux Falls, a number of brass bands, and a general celebration of the day, including the birth of the new State of South Dakota, the constitutional convention was called to order in Germania Hall at noon Thursday. Tiie convention selected as its permanent chairman Senator-elect A. J. Edgerton, of Mitchell. T., July 8.- The South Dakota convention transacted routine business Saturday. The report of the committee on rules which waB made on Friday was considered in committee of the whole and was adopted. MONTANA. Helena, M. T. , July 6 -The Constitutional convention met at 1 p. m. Frlday. After brlet preliminaries a permanent organízatJon was effected. These omcers were eleoted: President, Hon. W. A. T., July 6.- The Constitutional convention on Friday elected Hon. John P. Hoyt, of King County, president. The nominees of the Republican caucus for the remaining offices were elected. The report of the committee on credentials was adopted. The committee on rules reported a list of standing committees, also the number of members each committee should contain. Heyburn, Savage, Shoup, Crutcher, Poe, Cavanagh, Stanreed, Allen and Hogan were appointed a committee on credentials. Every body ia harmonious and enthusiastic for Statehood. Boise Citt, L T., July 8.- The Oonstitutional convention settled harmoniously all conteste and organized permantly by electing Judge W. H. Clagttt, of Shoshone County, as president The committoe appointed to invite the Senatorial committee en route to Alaska reported that the Henators all favored Idaho for Statehood after having the riches and resources of Idaho explained tothem.
