An Iowa Village Badly Scorched

Dubuque, Ia., Aug. 6.- Delhi, a town of 1,000'inhabitants on the Davenport branch oí the St Paul road in Delaware County, barely escaped total destruction by flro Bunday. Twelve buildines, among them the poet-offlce, telephone office, Odd-Fellows and two notelB were destroyed. The insurance is light and the loss is estimated at $50,000.
