(Air- "Way Down Upon the Swanee River.'') Written for The Ah Arbob Register. Way down upon the Huron Kiver, Not far awav, There's where the school-girl loves to wander, Ev'ry fine holiday. Here too the college boys all ramble, Always blithe and gay. And smile if they but see a school-glrl Slyly glance their way. Chorus-AU the way is bright and cheery Everywhere we roam, When we have done adminng nature We will go sadly home. Here the boulevard in all its beauty Winds amoug the hills, While down among the flagrant cedars The merry song-bird trills. Just here the banpy-hearted young folks Pause, a íest to take. And crv: "Of all the lovely places, This just takes the cake !" Choros- All the way, etc. On pass the merry group of school-girls Far up the bank, When all the O. B.s cry in chorus : " Life is but a blank !" Then, only just to catch the sunshine, They take the self-same way, And as they overtake the school-girls, Kemark, " Ah ! what a fine day.1' Chorvs- All the way, etc. Ann Arbor, Aug. 16, '89.
