Purcell was made temporary chairman and J. D Parkhouee secretary. After the usual preliminary business had been transacted the followlng nommations wsre made : Governor, W. N. D., Aug. 30. - Governor Mellette has issued a proclamation calling an election in ísorth Dakota, to be held on the first Tuesday of October, to eleot State, Legislativo, judicial and county offleers to determine the question of prohibition Ín the State, and f or the adoption or rejection of the Bismarck constitution. Hubon, S. D., Aug. 30.- The South Dakota Eepublinan Ktate convention elected Sol Starr permanent chairman and R W. Caldwell secretary Thursday.
