A Revolutionary Hero's Widow

Jíankato, Minn., Sept. Í).- Mrs. Elizabeth Wallingford, better known as "Grandmother" and "Betty" Wallingford, died Friday night, aged 93. She was the only Burviving widow of a soldier of the revolution in Minnesota and was the oldest except one in the United States. She was married in 181U to Jonathan Wallingford, then 50 years old, who enlisted in the revolutionary army at the age of 18 and went througü the war without an injury.
