At a recent meeting of the trustees of the Ann Arbor School of Music a committee was appoiDted,consisting of Professors Frieze, Rogers, Stanley, and Mr. T. J. Keech, to prepare appropriate resolutions in relation to the death of the lite Israel Hall, a member of the board. The comuiittee accordingly reported, and the board adopted and ordered placed on record, the following minutes: "In the death of our esteemed colleague, IsraelHall, we lament the loss of one of our most efficiƫnt and valuable co-workers who, from the first organization of thia board, has manifested a hearty interest in the objects tbr which it was created, always (attending its meetings when the state of bis helth permitted, aiding with hia counsel and ever ready to do lus part in carrying out its measures. While we mourn his Ijss as a member of this board, we would also, in common with the friends and fellow-citizens of the deceased, express our profound regret for the death of or.e who has had but few equals among U8 in uprightness and sterling integrity, in public spirit and liberality of heart and hand. To his mourning wife and children we beg to give the assurance of our heartfelt sympatby in the great sorrow tbat bas been brought upon them by this sore bereavement."
