We, the senior class of the Ann Arbor High School, desiring to expresa our grief at the loss of the late Professor Benjamín L. Nichols, our appreciation of his work in the High School, and also to eztend our sympathica to his bereaved famüy and relatives, oflfer the following resolution : Resolved, That the High School has sustained a great loss in the death of Professor Nichols, both to the high standard of its faculty and to the industrioua student. Honored by his pupils, beloved by his iriends and universally respected by all who knew him, his presence will be missed not only in the halls of the High SAool, but also ia the wslks of social life. We deeply regret his death and shall always turn to his memory with highest repect. We owe much to his ability and vigilant care as instructor, and he has merited and won the gratitude and enthusiastic admiration of a large number of young men and young women, some of whom must now, before their course is finished, be denied bis valuable suggestions and kind encourasjement. We extend our heartfelt sympathy and condolence to hia bereaved Family and relatives, consoüng them with the fact that their loss is his gain, and that death is not a catastrophy, but a transition ordered by divine love. In his death .he wife loses a kind and gentle husband, lis as-ooiates a true and eteadfasc friend and we a much loved and highly respected lost ructor.
