Ai.ton, 111., Jan. 11. - The war between the blacks and whitcs on the school question lias bruken out afresh in Upper Alton, and Thursday and Friday attempts were made by the negroea to force their children into the high school which has heretofore been attended by tlie children ol the whites alone. The blacks and whites were both armed Kriday and there might have been bloodshed if the blacks had not withdrawn. The white people are fully determined that black children hall not attend the white schools. The blacks are rqually determinèd that they shall.
