A Hundred Debates

New York, Mareh 4.- The most important event in current politics transpired last week in this city when arrangements wore completcd for 100 debates betwocn Walter Thomas Mills, of Chicago, and Ilon. Albert Qrifiin, of Brooklyn. The debates are to cover the question in controversy between the temperance Republicans and the party Prohibitionlsts. They will begin in New Kngland early in April and travel across the continent to San Francisco and return. Mr. Mills is a close student of politics and has few equals as a keen and ready debater. Mr. (rifiin is ohairman of the National Anti-Saloon Kepublican Association, and is probably the most representative temporáneo Kepublican in the country.
