Winea and Clark, of Howell, were Ann Arbor visitors, Sunday. Mrs. S. J. Wall and daughter, of Cadillac, are visiting friends in the city. G. R. Haviland left, yesterday, for Bay City, where he will spend a week or so. Mr8. S. S. Blitz returned, Monday, from a weïk's vit with her sister in Detroit. The Misseg Shaw and Hurd, of Saline, were v:siting Iriendi in the city, yesterday. Mifs Carrie Winana returced, Sunday, from a visit with Miss May Peters, of Scio. Mr?. Mary Van Tyne, of Chelsea, has been tbs guest of Mrs. F. A. Howldt, thig week. L. B. Buchoz, of Detroit, a former Ann Arkor boy, was the guest of Iriecds in the city, Tuesday. Mrs. J. D. Mersereau, of Marquette, nee Nellie Coleman, bas b.en btopping in the city, this week. Fraak Loomis, of Grand Rápida, spent several days the past week with his mother on Ann-st. Chas. Eister, night chief of the'Western Union forces at Detroit, visiied his old home in this city, Sunday. Dr. R. S. Armstrong and several others came down from CheLsea, Taesday, to witness the base bali game. Rev. R. L. Williams spent three weeks at his home on Madison-st, and returned to his charge at AuSable, last Friiay. J. L. Babcock returned Thursday evening, from a two weeks' trip thrcugii Kentucky and other parts ot the south. Adolph Krauee and family, who have been visüing relatives in this city during the past month, returned home yesteiday. J. T. Jacobs relurned from his Kentucky trip, Sunday. While tbere he purcbajied a fine four-yeir-old colt aad a handsome sadj'e horee. S. S. Bli;z was in Detrait, Sunday, attending a family reunión to celébrate the 25th anniversary of the marriage of his sister, Mrs J. Steinfeld. J. S. Hendersor, who has been employed at Cleveland for some time past, returned to his home in this city, last week, and is seriously il!. Don. llclntyre, jr., of Cadilac, the wellknown breeJer of tine Jerseys in northern Michigan, spent several days this week with his parents on W. Huron-st. Dr. J. C. Wood leaves in a few days for New York, from which place he sails on the Cunard steamer "Umbria," May 10, for a five monlhs' tour in Europe, Hon. W. M. White, of Syfacuse, N. Y., was the guest of A. J. Sawyer, last Thursday. Mr. White was in the city looking after his iarge property interests here. Mei. J. Bliss resigned his position as bookkeeper for the Michigan Furniture Cc, last week, and has gone to seek hij fortune in the new state of Washington. George Bessinger and family arrivei, Tuesday, from California, and will visie his father on W. Liberty-st. This is the Grst time he has visited home in seven years.
