Treasurer, Lucius Frierson, ofCoiumbia, Tenn Vice-president8 were elected f rom every State having an organization. The constitution of the society was changed so as to make women eligible to membership. Several life members were elected, including Robert Bonner, of New York; Alexander Montgomcry of California, and Colonel Herrón, o' Pittsburgh. PlXTSBUBGH, Pa.. June Presidenl Harrison and his party were welcomed to this city Saturday by the mayor, a military company and a large crowd of citizens. The President, who was the guest of the Scotch-Irish conffress, held a reception at the Exposition Building at 9 o'clock, when he shook hands wltta 8,000 people. At 1U o'clock tho party left for Washington. PiTTsuriii.il. Pa., June 2. - AttheExposition Mechanical Hall Sunday night Kev. Dr. John Hall, of New York, addrossed a largc audience in the manner of the sitnplo Scotch-Irish service of old. This was the closing event of the convention here, and 5,000 people attended. Five thousand more gathercd outsideof the building and were addressed by Rev. Dr. l'urvis, of this city.
