Vandalia, 111., July 14.- A heavy rain has visited the northern part of Fayette County and saved the farmers thousands of dollars. The corn erop could have stood the dry weather only a few days longor. In this vicinity however, the outlook is extremely dis couraging. and rain must come within the next weck or the corn erop will be a complete failurc.
