St. I'xri., Minn., July 18.- The mayor of Eed Win;; has prepared au official list of the victims of the Lake Pepin disaster, by which it is shown that ninety-seven persons lost their lives. Captain Wuthern and six of the crew of the Sea Wing reacbed this city Thursday, and havo been closeted with Government inspectora, who are holding an investijration bohind closed doors. Captain Wethern and Clork Miles have prepared a public statement in which they give an account of the disaster. Both agree in saying that tbe crew of the boat had not beon drinking at the time of the accident, and that every tbing possible was done to prevent the horrible catastrophe. When the boat left Lake City the storm seemed to have passed. As soon as ther danger was seen tho life-preservers were broughtout and distributed among the passengers, of whora there were 175. Pacific .Iinction, Ia., July 21. - A cyclone on Saturday destroyed several buildings heie and did other damage. One man was killed. Tvcsox, A. T., July 22.- A cloudburst in tho foothills ol the Santa Rita mountains covered an area of a square mile. Mouxr Stkht.in-g, 111., July 19.- ing a severe storm Thursday two sons of Benjamin and William Geary, living near here, were struck by lightningand instantly killed. A companion escaped serious injury. Goshen, Ind., July 19.- A heavy storm damagred the crops and the grain in shocks near here Friday. Collins W. Hathaway, a contractor, was struck by lightning during tho storm and killei The electricity tore his clothes off and disflgured the body, making it almost unrecognizable. Henry Nsufer, a farmer, and his team were struck and killed and three others rendered unconscioua. Catlin-, 111., July 19.- Near here Friday ligntning struck the daughterof Alonzo liusby, bursting the drums of both her ears. A number of cattlewere also killed in the neighborhood and two houses and man y hay-stacks were burned. Winamac, Ind.. July 19.- Thursday night John Fess, of Medaryville, in this county, was struck by lightning and killed. There was not a mark on ni3 body nor a break on the skin and yet nearly every bone in nis body was broken. Downey Knotts, who wa3 sitting on a seat in the wiRon beside him, escaped unhurt, while the dog under tho wagon was killed. Mii.nkhurg. La., July 21.- During a severe clectric storm yesterday Ed Williams, Louis Morris, VĂ­ctor Marchard and Edgar Charles, mulattoes, were killed by lightning.
