Sheriff Dwyer arregted a man named Ojlbert at the Michigan Central depot, Tuesday evening. Gelbert, who is a jew eler by trad, obtained a watch from a young lady at Dexter, promising to return it, with a monogram engraved, at four o'clock in the afternoon. Instead of doiag so, he took the train for the east. Wednesday moroing, Miss K. E. Shaefer, cf Plymoutb, who had been similarly victtmiíed, carne over to Ann Arbor and recognized Gelbert as the thief. A lady, from Irnlay City, is expeoted to-day on the same errand. Evidently GJbert has been daing a wboiesale jewelery business.
