Spbtngpield, I1L, July 25. - In the Senate yesterday the world's fair bill as prepared by the fair directory and a joint rcsolution providing for the submission to the voters of tno State a proposition to amend tho constitution by authorizing the city of Chicago to issue bonds to the amount of 5,003,000 in aid of the world's fair was introduced and referred tothe judiciary oommittee. In the House, the same mcasures were introduced and referred; also a resclution to require tho world's fair directora to make a plan showing to the Legislature where the fair is to be located and what portion is to be at the lake front and what at Jackson park. Spki.ofii:i.i), 111., July 26. - In the Senate yesterday the judiciary committee reported in favor of both the State and city of Chicago voting on the proposition to Issue 85,000,000 in bonds. In the House a resolution that the World's Columbian Exposition bo held on one site was debatod at great length and finally made the special order for Tuesday next at 10 a. m. Uoth houses adjourned until next Monday. Spbinopiei.d, 111., .luly 29. The Senate convened at 5 o'clock, bi.u there was no quorum present, and an adjournment was imniediately taken to 10 a. m. In the House a resolution expressing the sentiment of the Legislature in favor of the preference for union men, or men belonging to the American Federation or any other recognized labor organization in the employment of skilled artisans or laborers in the work ,of preparing the ground and buildings for the Columbian Exposition, was referred to the committee on labor and industria] affairs. A resolution favoring the closing of the exposition on Sunday was referred to a committee.
