Delta U's initiate to morro w night. Tbe Wesleyan Guild social last Monday evening was well attended. The Sorosig will give a gemían at Granger's hall tomorrow evening. She died on October 21 at the New England Hospital in Bostón, where she was takint; conree of study. The compilers of the new nniversity í)ook are desirous of ascertaining the whpreaboats of O. S. Ingham, who attenüed the university in '57 and '58 and took bis maeter's degree in 1870. About 1,000 students went to Detroit n the special train, last Saturday, to witness the foot ball game between the Coroell and the U. of M. teams. They ereated quite a commotion as they marolied up the streets giving vent to their indescribable college yell. The jame itself was a hotly contested one, rnltinff 20 to S in favor of tbe Corxell team. The programme of the Litcrary tde phi on Saturday evening is as fcllows: Mnsic; Essay, Miss Latham; Lecture, "A Sketch of Dutch Literature," Prof. D'Ooge ; Music, D. B. D. Qiiartette. A young lady student, rooming on Jefferson-st, attended a recent lecture in the eompany of a student of the oppoite sex. The latter took charge of the key to her room, bnt when he bade her jood night at tbe gate, he forgot to return that very useful arlicle. As a lesult, the " co-ed " was barred from her room for nearly a week. A coolness has arisen and tbe young lady now thinks ttrat the yonng man who played her the Wek is " to mean for anyt hing."
