Fot past seven years ñiree comedies have sprang up all over the country, and the foiinlation of thein all lies in tht) S);ip B ïbble- for the reason tint this irrepres.-ible and laugLprovokina absurdity has for its plot t-cenes and incidents that are familiar piet tires to all. Many of the moït prominent comedians of the day, and now upon the stage, owe their popularity and exalted positions to the experienee gained while plajing minor and leading parts in the Soap Bubble. The company producing this light and airy extravaganza is composed of leading comedians, whose artistic abilities in tliis line gain for them great praise. Among these may be mentioned the favorife and popular artista: Charlea V. Young, John Buckland, Frank Allen, Koss O'Neal, Wm. Dobbins. Vevie Newbrigga, Lottie Gift, Dollie Davenport, Mellie Perie, and others, under the management of Mr. J. H. Dobbins, who has personally directed the tour of the Soop Bubble for the past six years. The management have added to Soap Bubble thia season, as a feature for the edification of the public in general, one of the most handsomely uniformad bands and orchestra everin the United States. Col. J. Banker Phelps, the business manager of Soap Bubble, purchased the uniforms in Prussia last bummer, at an expense oi $2,000, ind also brought to this country with him several musicians to complete the organization of one of the finest bands in the United States.
