For the last tiventy-five years Gooley has been at work upon his invention, which, ho claimed, would propel a vessel aoross the ocean by perpetual motion. lie lias spent thousands of dollars upon the machine and fully expectcd to announce the discovery of perpetual motion to the world within the next thruo years. Ile was 68 years old.
