William Klein, the mother of the cbridren, locked thera in the house while she went on an errand, and pregently lije attèntion of the father, wnö was söme distance off, was attracted BV smoke issuing frora the house, ift hastened home and found the buildiflg ablaze. By the time he had effectea an entrance the interior was a mass of llames. He found one of the children, who died shortly after being rescued,. The charred remains of the others were found in the debris. The eldest child was only 7 years.
