Oakes, J. P. , Dec. 15. - A disastrous flre vlsited Oakes Sunday night, entaiiing a loss of $3U,000 and resulting in the death of one man. The flamea brokc out ;it raidnight in the druff Store and office of Dr. Schmidt Nelson nd he was burned to death before help could reach him. Nearly the whole business portion of the town was de■troyrd.
