The senator had just concluded supper and pushed liis chair back, when his son cntered the restaurant door and discharged one barrel of a double-barrel shotjjun at hira, blowinff the top oí his head off. As the murdered man rolled under the table the other barrel was discharged, the load entering the body. The murderer then mounted his horse and rode off.
