Dimling was stopped by two footpads the othcr night. One of thera oovered him with a revolver, and the other said: "Turn over atl your cash, and bo quick about it." "My dear fellows," said Dimlintf, in response to their urgent invitation, "I have no cash to turn over. I have just left a church fair." The footpads first satisfled themselves of the truth of the unfortunate man's' story, and then raised one dollar and twenty-five cents between them for his relief, regardless of the f act that business had not been good with them for 6ome time. - William Henry Siviter, in Uarper's Bazar.
