Nine Perish

Albany, N. Y., Aug. f.- The steainer Rachel Sherman struck a rock and sank Thursday evening at Pearl Point landing, Lake George. She had an excursión party of twenty-nine persons aboarcl from Fourteen-Mile island. The ñames oí those drowned are as follows: Miss Jiüttie Hall, lirooklyn; Bertha Benedict, Mont Clair, N. 3.; Miss Edith Harding, Hoboken, N. J. ; Miss H. M. Burton, Jersey City, N. J.; Mrs. J. II. Mitchell, Burlington; F. C. Mitchell, Burlington; Lizzie Corley, Burlington; Cora Black, Burlington, and Lizzie Clark, Bridgeport, Conn.
