Indianapolis, Sept. 27.- The Indiana ropreme court has decided in the case of the Portland Natural Gas and Fuel couipany againat W. W. Keen of Jay coniity that the gas company rnust f urnish gas to patrons who have property on the street trayersed by the gas mains. The opiniĆ³n was by Judge Coffey. It held that where the occupants or owners of property make the necessary arrangements for the gas it is the duty of the company to furnish the fuel. When the company refuses, it can be compelled by maudamns to Eurnish gas.
