Greencastle, Ind., Sept. 27.- An attempt was made to wreek the Cincinnati express on the Vandalia line near Staunton, Clay county. A rail had been removed and placed so as to throw the entire train down a 10-foot embankrnent. The engine fortunately did not jump, but all the cars except the sleeper lef t the track. No one was seriously hurt, but many were severely shaken up.
