Joe T. Jacobs' new two story block on Washington-st. is rapidly nearing completion. The store on the corner of 4th ave. and Washington-st. will be occupied by Arthur J. Mummery with a stock of drugs and chemicals. Mr. Mummery is a gradúate of the U. of M. and was for a number of years in the employ of Mr. Moor e, the Huron-st drug-gist. He is a youg man of ability and enjoys a large circle of friends who wish him success. His stook will comprise an entire new line of drugs, and the furniture which he has purchased will make his store one of the ueatest in the city. Mr. Herbert Randall has, as The Register stated several weeks ag-q,. rented the center store and second stof y of the three stores for his photo gallery, where he in company with Mr. W. M. Blake will earvy on an extensive business in pioture frames, while Mr. Randall will conduet his photo business. The rooms whieh these gentlemen will occupy will be among the finest in the state. Larg-e widé stairs, whieh will be finished in oak, will lead to the gajli ery. At thè top of the stairs will be a large reception room. At its right will be the entrance to the printing room. To the left of the reception, room will be the department for the manufacture of picture frames, etc. The operating room is 30x60 feet and the main light will take upa space in the ceiling of 16 x24 feet The 60x60 feet of space which üandall & Blake will occupy will certainly make one the most commodious photo galleries in the State.
