The rumor that Junius E. Beal is a audidate for congress has been dispoaed of by Mr. Beal declaring that he ia ot in the race. It is also undcrstood 'hut John F. Lawrence will not consent ni be eonsidered a candidato. K. P. Allen has also doclared that under no umstances will he allow his namo tto go before the convention. Whether or not Mr Kempf will enter the field, is not as yet definitely settled, so far as we can learn. 'Ve are informod, howt;ver, that some foreign appointment would be more agreoablo to him. 1 his reduces the present Washtenaw county Jist of possiblc candidatos to two. Hon. A. J. Sawyer and Hon. J. T. Jacobs.
