The ranks of the active orwell-knoun business men of this city havo been broken into by death during the past year to an astonishing extent. The following well-knovvn men having been taken from us since January lst, 1894: January- Walter Sharpe, head miller at Argo Mills. Thad. E. Thompson, truant officor. February- Daniel E. Wines, a retired contractor and builde'1. Pranklin L. Parker, real estáte dealer and capitalist. March- Nathan II. Drake, elerk of the Cook House. Emil Baur, fruit raiser. April- Prof. Corydon L. Ford, for forty vears an instructor in the University. May- Adel'oert L. Noble, clothier. Adain D. Seylcr, boot and shoe merchant. October- Jerome A. F reeman, the most prominent colored man in the city. Geo. M. Ilenion, a retired farmer. November- Will R. Price, formerly teller of the lst National Bank. Zachary Roath, dry goods merchant. Henry Binder, retired business man. Nelson Sutherland, street commisioner. - Courier.
