The United States has made a reduction in the price of stamped envelopes and the redured pricesare uow in f orce in the Ann Arbor postoflice. The reduction is not uniform. The medium size of two-cent -stamped envelopes, formerly known as ( I's and now as No. 3. now sell lor 54 cents a package of 25 envelopes, that is üfty cents tor the stamps and tour cents tor the tweDtyfive envelopes. That, is a reduction of one cent. Twenty-live 1-cent white envelopes now sell f'r 29 cents, a reduction of one een , and 25 1-cent manilla envelopes beiiig 28 cents. There is no reduction in the oíd A'sandD's, now known as No. 2 and No. 5, when bought tty the package. There is, however, a reduction of 4 cents on 1,000 A's, and 20 cents on 1,000 D's. or large size. The reduction on the medium sized envelopes is also 20 cents on 1 ,000 envelopes. On orders of 500 the government prints name and address without extra charge., fco that uow anybody can get 500 medium sized envelopes with name and address printed for $10.80, or $10 for the stamps and 80 cents for the envelopes. - Argus. And not a few of our business and professional men send to Washington to have their envelopes printed, and then kick because people go to Detroit to buy goods. Strange, isn't it?
