The senior Hts havodecided to appear in esp and gown on the 22nd of February. Prof. and Mrs. Gardner S. Lamson were eiven a roception last Thursday afternoon by Mr. N. J. Corey, at bis home, No. 60 Lafayete-ave., Detroit. Miss May Blount, Edna Day, and Lucy Eames, gave a recoption last Friday to a number of young lady seniors at the home of Miss Eames, No ' N. State-st. A Memorial service in honor of Mrs. Gayiey-Browne will be held under the aupices oí the vv ornan s llague ui mu University of Michigan, in Newberry Hall, Sunday afternoon, January thirteenth, at three o'clock. Any ladies who desire to attend will be cordially welcomed. The Times correspondent at Ypsilanti is authority for the statemsnt that oight lady students at the Normal have been 8ent home for being too giddy- that two of them in fact vvere f ound in Ann Arbor saloons with some U. of M. students having a hilarious time. Evididently the proposed flve-mile law would benefit the lady studonts as well as those of the sterner sex.
