High Scbool Fra t. riilll , i. The faculty in tho High School have taken tho matter of secrot soeieties in the school in hands. It is understood thftt thoy will crush them out if possible. Laat weok word was received from Monko, Mich., that one of tho societies here was attempting to organize a new ahapter in the High School there. This wtm carrying the matter too far and all the members of the society here, eight ianumber, were suspended from the school with the understanding that they wuld not return unless they would rgree to dinbund their organization. So far( nothin furthor haa developed. Thó boysseom detcrmined nottosubmit, and it ia understood that the paren tsof some of them are sustaining the boys in their i'esiatance of the rules oí tho school. Ttaeroare sevoral other sooietiesamong the boys and eren a largor nuraber among tho girls. It is more than likely that all who belon to any of these orjanizations will be requested to withdraw ov bu suspended. This move on th8 part of the professors in the High School 8eem8 to meet with thoapproval f a large majo rity of our citizens. The Board of Education met last night and resoinded the rule prohibitïog High School studente from beeoming members of. secret soeieties. Now we may expect to hear of "frats" in the ward schools.
