There has been some confusión in regard tó the Y. W. O. A. and the Woman's Auxiliary. The latter is a part of the Y. M C. A. and its objeet is to help in the social work of that assoeiation and to do for it tho many thing which neei a woman's hand to perfect. The Y. W. C. A. is an entirely separate organization, which does aniong the young vromen the same work which the Y. M. C. A. does for the young men Each along its own lines, and in the most friendly spirit tovvards the other, is working for the good of the young people. We do not want Ann Arbor to forget that there is a Young Woman's C'hristian As3ociation in the city, which though neither so old nor so large as her brother across tho street, is yet becoming an important factor in tho lives of raany of our Ann Arbor girls. Due to the great kindness of the di. rectora of the First National Bank, the assgciation has a very pleasant home, a nd nearly all of the merchante of the city, as well as several other friend, have hel pei to fit up the rooma with carpeta, pictures, curtains, electrio lijjhts and other convenienees and comforts. During the past ten weeks there have been classes in Elocution, Germán Convjrsation and Physical Culture, beides a large Bible class which, is held in connection with the Sunday afternoon meeting at 3 :30. These classes have been under the charge f competent teachers, who have given Iheir work to the association free of charge. A small fee has been paidbythe olasses whicb has ensured regularity in attendaace, and a continued interost. After thia week these classes will be continued and in addition thei-e will be a class in singing under the charge of Mrs. Prof. Kempf. The fact that the fee for such classe b is but 2öc. for ten lessons to membersof the Y. W. C. A. and 50c. to outsiéers.ought to result is large classe s.
