He severely ritietsed the methods and ideas of the jopulists, claiming they had retardcd Jhe growth and"pro3perity of the state. He went on. The gfovernor places Kansas in the forefront in the edueational sphere, ind quotes from statistics to s'v -v bat ihe state debt is practically wiped out. (Ie protests against the efforts made to damape the state's credit, and deïlares emphatically against any talk 3Í repudiation of debts.
