The young Queen Wilhelmina of Holland is likely to be betrothed to Prince Alfred oí Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, eldest son and heir of the Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (more generally knoa as the Duke of Edinburgh), accordiiig to the world. The' little monarr'i &} +I10 Dutch tg not yot 15 years oíd, and a vry brlght, intelligent girl, merry-hearted and full of mischief. She is the last scion of the famous house oí Grange, founded by the great Williarc of Nassau. Her father was William III. and her mother, Queen Emma, is regent during her daughter's minority. Prince Alfred, the reported bridegroom-elect, is 20 years oíd and a handsome, intelligent youth. He is Queen Victoria's grandson, his father, the Duke of Edinburgh, being the second son of the English monarch. In May and June the young queen of Holland is to be given an outing in England in order to introduce her to her "aunt" queen, as Victoria ís called by the younger crowned heads of Europe, Instead of the more familiar "sister." Queen Wilhelmina will also see all the budding royalties at her own age and have a good time, such as a 14-year-old girl ought to have, but rarely does, when she is born to the purple and not allowed to mutter or peep except by rule.
