Last Thursday forenoon Sid Harwood was driving to Saline with his horse and bnggy. On his wuy he stopped at the home of H. M. Wheeler to do some business. He tied his horse in front of the house and, learning that Mr. Wheeler was on the farm back of the house, he went back into the field. A few minutes later Mr. Harwood returned but did not fiml his horse and busrgy. Search was immediately made. It was soon learned that the rg had been seen by Mr. Schaffer who w;is il workon the bridge by Adam Schroen's. Mr. Schaffer had seen a stranger pass with the vig a few minutes before. The sheriff was promptly notified and it was but a short time before the thief was ovei'hauled by theofficers He was found in Lenawee county Friday by deputy Canfield who brought him to Ann Arbor and lodged him in jail. There seems to be no question as to the rightperson leiny appreheruled. Why a man should do sucli a rasb act is deeidedly surprising. The man evidently does not belong to any band of thieves. It is even queationable if he is not a little shaky in the upper story.
